To celebrate our 75th Jubilee the Joy spinning wheel – named after Joy Ashford – has been updated with a new flyer.
From late 2009 all Joy spinning wheels will have the new sliding hook flyer as standard. With the squeeze-and-slide stainless steel hooks it is easy to fill bobbins evenly and the fibreglass arms make the flyer light and strong.
The new sliding hook flyer bobbins hold up to 30% more yarn due to larger 90mm (3½ins) bobbin ends - 3 included.
The Joy is the solution to portable spinning. You can take this wheel with you wherever you go! The revolutionary design is ultra light weight and folds up to fit inside a carry bag. We have heard stories of spinners taking this wheel all over the world, on a boat, on a plane, a train or in a caravan!
It has scotch tension and four flyer ratios for fine to chunky novelty yarns.The bobbins fit into the frame and the board folds flat.
